Davido,
African pop star, was hosted last Thursday by Blackhouse Media, Nigerian
Entertainment Today and ID Africa,
where he had an informal session with top entertainment bloggers and
journalists in celebration of his recent Sony deal.
Moderated by the
THENETNG publisher, Ayeni Adekunle,
the session took an unusual turn when Davido
became the interviewer, instead of being questioned, asking how his personality
and fast growth in the music industry were perceived by the media persons
present.
Many disclosed that
Davido’s consistency over the years is responsible for his massive growth.
THENETNG chief
correspondent, Adebayo Showemimo,
opening the session, said, “Davido’s many controversies and consistency have
made him a winning brand.”
Nseobong
Okon-Ekong, a veteran journalist of Thisday Newspaper disclosed further that Davido’s amazing winning
streak can be traced to the hardwork of his young, energetic team.
“He is one artiste
who has an appeal that cuts across the African continent,” he said.
He added, “Davido
surrounding himself with young people who appreciate and understand what he is
doing have been working well with him.”
He continued with
some words of advice for the 23-year-old singer, saying, “he should try to do
some new things if he wants to remain on top in the coming years as he is
becoming predictable.”
Tyler
Duncan-Sotudo, music download portal, tooXclusive founder, expressed his
opinion that Davido is a top winning brand.
He said, “He has put
himself at that top position which has made him a winning brand. Anything
Davido puts his voice on is usually a hit. Davido is a big brand.”
Here is wishing this
controversial, but undeniably talented young singer some boundless luck!
