The
opening programme which happened to be a series, started with a heart lifting
praise and worship session led by the Ministry’s choir. The Assistant General
Overseer, Rev. Mrs. Flora Ejiro Kwakpovwe, led the congregation in thanking God
for the past anointing services at the Church headquarters, 8 Omotayo Banwo St,
Ori-Oke Ogudu, Lagos with the theme: Secrets of Marital Settlement/Bliss.
Speaking
on the topic: “Secrets of Marital
Settlement/BLISS”, Rev Dr. Chris
Kwakpovwe told the impressive crowd
of the spiritual exercise of developing a life of gratitude to God, despite
the challenges that come one’s way. He then asked a pertinent question, “which
marriage has God joined”? He admonished any
individual planning to marry by demonic means to repent, warning that there was
always a consequence for anything taken from the devil!
Digging
deep into the topic, the anointed man of God said: “Talking about marriage,
Proverbs 18 verse 22 says ‘He that finds a wife finds a good thing.’ We begin
by saying THAT MARRIAGE HAS A GOOD THING which shall locate you. If you are not
married, my cry, prophecy and prayer is that you will not make a mistake.”
1.
IF YOU MARRY ANOTHER
PERSON’S WIFE OR HUSBAND BY MISTAKE, YOU MIGHT NEVER KNOW PEACE. God is not an author
of confusion. If your wife or husband WILL die YOUNG, God knows that in advance.
So you must FIND YOUR OWN SPOUSE. DON’T MARRY ANOTHER PERSON’S SPOUSE BY ERROR.
Every one of us will be a widow or widower at one point or the other. In some
cases, the two die at the same time in an accident or unfortunately in the
hands of armed robbers, but that is not our prayer! Don’t HURRY to marry. It is
better to be single than to regret later. HEAR GOD’S VOICE AND LISTEN TO YOUR
INNER MAN ON ANY MAN OR WOMAN before marriage. PEACE IN YOUR INNER MAN means
God is saying ‘GO ON.’ Marry your friend and not just a church member or just a
spiritual person alone. MARRY YOUR FRIEND! Marriage is a MARATHON; NOT A
HUNDRED METERS DASH. So marry your friend. Plan a simple marriage. Refuse to compete! WEDDING IS A CEREMONY OF 3 HOURS OR LESS.
MARRIAGE IS A LIFE TIME! That is why I don’t give out money as gifts to prepare
for weddings. I help marriages; not weddings! Plan your wedding in line with
your purse. DON’T BORROW OR CREATE ENEMIES TO WED. More secrets were revealed

The
whole congregation was on edge, the eagerness to hear more was written all over
their faces. The Bishop, WHO IS KNOWN AS A VERY EXPERIENCED, PRACTICAL AND

HAVE HAD THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY IN MARRIAGE. WE ALL HAVE. BUT MY
MARRIAGE TODAY IS HEAVEN ON EARTH. Marriage is something given by God for us to
enjoy only on this earth for a purpose. Those of you not married today, you
shall not marry another person’s husband or wife. Make sure you ask God: Is he/she
my own or another person’s own? If it’s another husband or wife, the battle you
will face may make you want to throw someone out of the boat like Jonah. THE
SECRETS INCLUDE:

Forgive EACH OTHER WHICH IS A FULL TIME JOB.

FORGIVE IN ADVANCE. PRACTICE ADVANCE
FORGIVENESS.

IGNORE SEPARATION. It leads to regrets later! It leads to DIVORCE! SEPARATION
IS ILLEGAL DIVORCE! DON’T DO IT. IN MY
CULTURE, STAYING OUTSIDE YOUR MATRIMONIAL HOME FOR MORE THAN 3 DAYS/NIGHTS
WITHOUT THE CONSENT OF YOUR HUSBAND IS ADULTERY! I think it should apply to men
too.
