KEY TO FREEDOM: KNOW YOURSELF, OR KNOW THE TRUTH? By Felix Nyerhovwo Jarikre
Socrates said: 'Man, know thyself.'
Since then, philosophers, neuroscientists, motivational speakers etc have embarked on a long exhaustive journey of exhortation to cajole men and women everywhere to know themselves. Another word for this quest is called self-discovery.
The proposition is that you must know or discover yourself before you can master yourself and your environment. Sounds enticing, doesn't it? Yes.
But when you think about it, it's a quest of futility and self-conceit.
That has not stopped men and women everywhere from attempting to discover what stuff their characters are made of. They are eager to discover what they are capable of. How to maximize their potentials is a favourite topic. Learning and getting in tune with their passions is an adventure they refuse to disdain. If they don't find out what they are afraid of, how can they summon the courage from the ether to march forward and destroy their fears?
They must find out in minute details their likes, their loves, what their sexual preferences are, not excluding their sexual proclivities.
What are the ingredients necessary to drive their ambitions to the point of fulfilment. They are told what must be done to self-actualize.
Having to undertake a personal SWOT analysis (your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) cannot be sneered at! It comes highly recommended. After all, Socrates decreed: 'Man, know thyself.' Sigmund Freud made it fashionable in the name of psychoanalysis.
Self-analysis is in! Even some of your pastors in the name of emotional intelligence have told you that you can't neglect self-analysis. How dare anyone to rebuke the concept of self-knowledge?
Now let's come to brass tack. Is there anywhere in the New Testament where Christ commanded His followers to KNOW themselves? NONE !
He asserted that with your knowledge of the truth, your freedom cannot be revoked.
In John 8:32, He says: And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
For you to escape enslavement or limitations, you must learn the truth. For you to escape oppression and being dominated by another man, your resolve to learn the truth cannot be questioned.
When you have knowledge of the truth, you are automatically released from being coerced or constrained in choice and actions.
When you have learned the truth, your liberation from slavery or restraint by the power of another man is inevitable.
Clearly, Christ never suggested or counseled His followers to embark on any self-analysis. It's unprofitable and deceitful to self- analyse yourself. Rather He commanded His followers to concentrate their efforts in pursuing the knowledge of the truth. That way, they can come into the sort of freedom that cannot be revoked or squashed by another man or power.
Knowing yourself is never an antidote against victimization from another person. Yet when you know the truth, you can easily smash victimization from another man.
The harsh reality is that it is futile trying to know yourself as the heart of man is defaulted on the position of desperate wickedness. The heart of man is a cauldron of unmitigated evil.
Jeremiah 17:9 says: The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: WHO CAN KNOW IT?
No man can know the depth of the deceit and desperate wickedness of his heart...

HAVE NIGERIAN CHURCHES CRASHED BEFORE COVID-19?
HAVE NIGERIAN CHURCHES CRASHED BEFORE COVID-19?
By Felix Nyerhovwo Jarikre.
My view is not a popular one. Nigerian churches went down without a fight. I don't see them recovering from their misstep. Nigerian churches squandered their moral capital the moment they allowed their doors to be shut by the government due to the fear of COVID-19. Worse, they never took a leadership role in their decision to shut their doors, preventing their followers from meeting on days of fellowship.
Admittedly, COVID-19 is a frightening pandemic. Many deaths across countries have been traced to it. Some countries are in a race to develop vaccine to combat COVID-19. Experts have told us the disease is more threatening in a person whose immune system has weakened or broken down.
We should also not be fast to forget that the pandemic is surrounded by all sorts of misinformation, conspiracy theories and bullying, both intellectual and political. In this sinister atmosphere, is it villainous or wrong to exercise some healthy scepticism?
Theologically and traditionally, Nigerian churches had always boasted they were not set apart to partake of any pandemic. In their preachings and prayers, they held forth the idea they could never be victimized by any disease or plague. In their teachings and proclamations, Nigerian churches insisted that they enjoyed divine immunity against any disease. When the push came to shove, why couldn't they show the courage of convictions?
By shutting their doors without any resistance to government's order, Nigerian churches showed they lacked the spine to stand and fight for their convictions. Most importantly, they revealed clearly they had not been operating from the place of good conscience.
After all, contradicting the New Testament, many church leaders had brazenly sold the idea their church buildings were SANCTIFIED BY FAITH AS PLACES OF WORSHIP!! In other words, that the only place their followers could meet and serve God was a physical church building on Sunday. There, inside the church building, angels were rapidly released to supply the miracles of everyone in need!
It never occurred to them to recant from the treachery of this idea.
Now that they were forced by government to shut down their church buildings, and keep social distancing, it is expected that Nigerian church leaders should have vigorously protested on the basis that the health, prosperity and success of their followers would be extremely jeopardized without gathering to WORSHIP GOD in their SANCTIFIED church buildings and altars. Haven't they always cajoled church attendees to roll on altars at the close of service for angels to minister miracles to the humble ones?
Have they not made a habit of placing a lone chair by the altar where the impression is sold that anyone who come forward to drop some cash before touching the chair would receive a fast miracle from the invisible angel sitting on the lone chair?
In a time like this, one expected our erstwhile vociferous church leaders to show up their faces in courageous leadership, but instead they buckled and fled into hiding.
True to his convictions as a 'healing minister', Pastor Chris Oyakhilome kicked, but his fellow senior colleagues, concerted by Pastor Sam Adeyemi, threw him under the bus. No sir, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome wasn't 'PANDERING TO FEAR'. He had the courage to question a lockdown that his fellow pastors cravenly acquiesced to. Clearly, many Nigerian Christian leaders LACKED GOOD CONSCIENCE.
To save face, the church leaders latched unto Isaiah 26:20 which they massively circulated on social media:
Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.
Nothing can be more blasphemous, seditious and speculative than for a New Testament church to take refuge in Isaiah 26:20.
How can you tell a believer whose CONSCIENCE was PURGED by the blood of Christ in order to RECEIVE the ETERNAL INHERITANCE to HIDE from INDIGNATION?
How can you tell a believer whose CONSCIENCE was already PERFECTED and SANCTIFIED to flee in terror from an unseen adversary called COVID-19?
When your fear toward God is taught by the precepts of W.H.O., the exposure of your hypocrisy is inevitable.
Our church leaders should have kept quiet, covered their faces in shame, and wept a little to show some remorse.

WHY MEN SHOULD KNOW WHAT WOMEN WANT.
By Felix Nyerhovwo Jarikre.
'You know why I don't bother, and I think having sex with you is a drag? Because you are selfish. Next time, if you are going to take the trouble to demand for sex, please take the time to work on satisfying me. Don't deny I'm your wife, but perish the thought I exist solely for your pleasure.'
Her anger and impatience were visible. He was taken aback, caught almost speechless. His limp penis was a pitiable picture of perplexity.
Richard (not his real name) managed to blurt, 'But I'm always the one making the first moves for sex. You don't even show for one day that you want sex. All the signal you give is lack of interest in sex.'
Still vexed, Rachel (not her real name) replied, 'Yes, I'm not interested because you don't make it interesting. I come home from work, near exhaustion. I manage to cook food for you and the children. Next thing, you want sex. I give in because I don't want trouble. But all you think about is your self-satisfaction. And you expect me to clap that you are a champion racer, fast on the mark, fast to finish? Puulease! Don't you ever take me again through the drama and trauma of leaving me unsatisfied, sexually while you ease into your snoring!'
Richard's usual smugness had evaporated. His sexual appetite faded. But his eyes were pleading as if to signal his unpreparedness toward his wife's angry outbursts.
'What do you want from me?' He asked.
'Respect,' she replied. 'I'm not asking you to love me. That seems to be so hard for you. Just treat me with respect, and a sense of gratitude. I have three healthy, beautiful children for you. I work for my money. I don't need you to put clothes on my back, or make my hair. There's zero communication between us. The only time you recognize I exist in this house is when you want sex or food. I'm quitting your game; I'm not ready to play again.'
This pathetic but revealing scenario plays out in many homes today. The undercurrents of hostility, apathy and perplexity between husbands and wives is best left to imagination, rather than experienced. Some couples have even settled into a cold routine of neglect and disdain between themselves. The only times they are aroused to talk to themselves with little animation are when children's school fees or materials come up for settlement, or a child's birthday is due; or a child falls sick, and needs to be hospitalized on emergency.
Some husbands no longer find their wives sexually exciting: keeping 'side chicks' is no longer frowned upon, but treated with inevitable tolerance. Not to be outdone, some wives step out with vengeance, ready to play game with any man they are attracted to.
Some women, unable to handle or tolerate their husbands' infidelities, seethe with rage and hatred. As they play with murder in their hearts. Now and then, it's no longer strange to find the social media awash with gory tale of a woman turned berserk with her husband's unfaithfulness. Overstretched with playing the meek and patient wife, she had unexpectedly turned into a flaming object of vengeful fire. She stabbed and hacked her husband to death with a kitchen knife.
Perhaps you don't find this frightening and sad enough to raise questions. Take the case of a pastor's wife, affluent, influential, educated and beautiful, who openly divorced her famous husband because she could no longer tolerate his 'adulterous ways and sexual infidelities' with women.
The fact that divorce was supposedly frowned upon or forbidden by her religion wasn't enough to deter her. Her husband whom she had come to detest was humongously wealthy. He is a preacher of international renown. His virility was not in doubt. She had children for him. Why would a woman want to leave aside such piles of money and mammoth influence because of her husband's sexual infidelities?
Some would say it takes great courage and sense of worth to take such a rare step. They well might be right. What's undeniable: hell hath no fury like a woman scorned!
Many women are traumatized and misunderstood by their men. Some men are frightened by the idea of having to listen to the hearts of their women. It dredges up a feeling of inadequacy they are uncomfortable with. They don't think they have adequate resources to cope with what their women are demanding. Taking a flight from the possibility of having a meaningful dialogue with their women is a negative proposition they are seduced by. Have men ever thought their lives will become more enriched, strengthened and satisfying when they open up to the deep yearnings of their women? When men are not threatened by how their women feel, but rather take responsibility for bringing these feelings to a point of resolution, that can be very empowering. It's frustrating when a woman represses her feelings, or let them hang because she has no hope of fulfilment.
Life is hard and tragic because men fail to know what their women want. Life is precarious, sometimes despairing, almost meaningless because men don't consider it a worthy enterprise to understand how women feel.
Every woman wants to feel protected and secure in her relationship or marriage. And she craves to be understood by her man. For a healthy relationship, good communication comes before sex. While no normal person can question how finance can oil a romance, or run a relationship, it has never been proved practically that more money can purchase a woman's satisfaction or contentment.
What are her fears, her doubts, her guilts, her motivations? A man cannot afford to be neglectful of these emotions that weave their ways through her; or pretend they don't exist. He can't afford to think it's a waste of time trying to understand why his woman feels the way she does.
Why do some women feel marriage is a dull ache they have learned to endure? They feel unappreciated and devalued. Instead of seeing marriage as a place where they can express themselves authentically with boldness and confidence, having to walk on egg shells around their husbands becomes a safe option, unsure of what offend or please the men. Some choose to have a relationship with the husband's money if they cannot have a relationship with the men at the heart level.
For some, marriage is a slave camp; for others, marriage is a prison.
If you know you cannot upgrade your thinking to the level where you can celebrate a woman's intelligence, her sagacity, her beauty and her glory, don't get involved with her in a social relationship, talkless of a sexual one.
The wholeness between husband and wife together can only be realised by the man internalizing and communicating the woman's interests. If that's so - and there is nothing in the Bible to contradict that assertion - you have a crisis or calamity in your hand when a man pretends to ignore what his woman wants.
We must learn to place good conscience forefront in our marriages and relationships.
Conscience has to do with the development of our character.
Your conscience instead of your shape or body is the personification of your character...

SOUL, RIP OR THE PATIENT SOUL.
SOUL, RIP, or THE PATIENT SOUL.
By Felix Nyerhovwo Jarikre..
For ye have need of patience, that after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith, but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition, but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
- Hebrews 10:36-39.
Patience is the active state of anticipation that LACKS ANXIETY because the outcome is positively pre-determined.
Moses was commissioned to deliver Israel from 400-years slavery under the cruel hand of Egyptian Pharaoh. The man was warned beforehand by God that Pharaoh would stoutly resist Moses, and denounce his mission.
That despite the various punishments unleashed against Egypt, the Pharaoh would remain unyielding and arrogant. Yet ultimately, it's not a matter of 'if’ but 'when’ the Pharaoh would release Israel to vacate the land of Egypt.
That Pharaoh would release Israel from slavery was a PRE-DETERMINED outcome. There was no question about it. What Moses required was patience, having the ability to stay the course, and refusing to quit until he won.
Patience is required for your confidence to be boosted.
It takes patience to process the manifestation of your expectation.
Patience is persuasive.
Patience has resolution.
Patience is resilient.
Why should you be patient ? What are you resolutely anticipating ? What is the promise that you hope to embrace, having done the will of God ? You have confessed Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. You have prayed and interceded for the welfare and progress of others. You have fasted, and deprived yourself of your hard-earned money to empower the weak. You have also not neglected to give part of your income to the pastor, teacher or prophet who teach you the Bible. With tenacity, you have professed the Word of God day and night, despite challenges. As you go about daily for your business or work, and living by faith to you has become like easy breathing, what is your anticipation ? Why have you chosen to do the will of God the way you do ? What do you expect to gain ? Is there a reward to all that you do ?
The Bible is precise that the reward you expect to receive is the PROMISE OF ETERNAL INHERITANCE. For you to be rewarded with the SCEPTRE OF ETERNAL INHERITANCE, it is absolutely necessary to LIVE BY FAITH, anchored with PATIENCE. So what's the PROMISE OF ETERNAL INHERITANCE ? How does it play out ? For one, the promise of eternal inheritance is not given to FLESH AND BLOOD. The promise of eternal inheritance EXCLUDES and ABOLISHES flesh and blood.
IT TAKES THE PROMISE OF ETERNAL INHERITANCE TO SAVE THE SOUL.
To appreciate the significance of this, let's look again at our heroes of faith in the Bible. Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Rahab, Gideon, Barak, Samson, Samuel, David, Daniel, and the prophets etc, these all had obtained a good report through faith, but they did not receive the PROMISE OF ETERNAL INHERITANCE THAT CAN SAVE THE SOUL !!
That means all the elders from Abel to John the Baptist,THEIR SOULS WERE NOT SAVED BEFORE THEY ALL WENT TO THEIR GRAVES.
By retaining the FLESH AND BLOOD nature, their souls managed to shy away from salvation until they all died in faith.
With this as background, Jesus preached: ‘ Come unto me, all ye that labour and heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and YE SHALL FIND REST UNTO YOUR SOULS.’
Then Jesus allowed his flesh and blood incarnation to be destroyed to PERFECT THE HUMAN SOUL. ( At this juncture, take note: THAT A HUMAN SOUL IS PERFECTED DOES NOT MEAN THE SOUL IS SAVED.) The human soul is perfected for the soul to live by faith without limitations, and exercise patience. You require faith and patience to make your soul RIP. ( REST IN PEACE.)
Indeed, by offering his body ONCE FOR ALL, Jesus banished and ostracized flesh and blood from contestation. This was done because flesh and blood, a counterfeiter, is hostile to faith. Flesh and blood is not the soul. FAITH IS USED TO SAVE THE SOUL !!
Many souls, far from salvation, are trying to use faith to get material riches like cars, houses, money etc. Sad to say, but their struggle and frustration will never end unless their belief-system is altered.
FAITH IS NOT GIVEN TO CATER FOR FLESH AND BLOOD.
Because many of us are brought up on a relentless diet of false teachings that faith caters for flesh and blood, the more we pray and profess, the more we are diverted from God.
FAITH IS ALL ABOUT SELF-DENIAL OR SELF-DEPRIVATION. Faith gives material things. Faith does not get material things !! Despite all the hype invested on faith by false teachers, LIVING BY FAITH IS A PAINFUL PROCESS. Yet it is not lazy or irresolute. ( Indeed living by faith is not folding your arms, waiting for manna to fall from heaven. That ain't gonna happen !! So someone must get a job or start a business at whatever level.) Living by faith is the phase where you pray for the healing of others, and they get healed: but you pray for yourself, and nothing happens, or all you hear from heaven is: 'My grace is sufficient for you.’ So it takes a quick dash to the nearest pharmacy to be rescued from prolonged affliction.
Because living by faith is a CONVERSION phase in all ramifications, your soul is not permitted to feel inadequate or suffer lack. With the removal of flesh and blood from contention or reckoning, every limitation or restraint is removed also from what you can profess to satisfy your heart's desire. By conversion, it means you turn every challenge into a resolution with your mouth - THE GATEWAY OF LIFE.
Psalm 81:10: 'Open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.’
Take a young woman or man without husband or wife, pressed with sexual urge. They can open their mouth without shame, and speak into the air: ‘ I'm sexually satisfied and satiated. I'm separated from lust.’ Just saying that meaningfully can make them whole and refreshed without doing anything crazy.
By the way, what is soul ? The soul is the PERFECTED HUMAN SPIRIT MADE IN THE IMAGE OF GOD BY THE BLOOD OF SPRINKLING.
Your soul as a personality is essentially the INFORMATION that is stored and retrieved from HUMAN MEMORY to facilitate your performance. And only you have access to your memory. You can delete or upload whatever information to enhance your faith-performance.
Like you must prevent hackers on the prowl to confuse your memory, flesh and blood must be enslaved, restrained and kept silent. Why ? The information available to flesh and blood is not valid or relevant to man's spiritual productivity. The speculations and opinions of flesh and blood must be banished from having a hearing before the soul.
Flesh and blood indeed should not be given VOCAL EXPRESSION in the presence of its master, the soul.
Christianity that promotes the DUALITY OF FLESH AND SPIRIT is a doggerel that must be smashed.
To be continued.

Marriage, Success & Sex in the Digital Age of Female Empowerment.( Part Three)
The story of Nabal in the Bible illustrates the tragic consequences awaiting a man who spurns or looks down on his wife's influence and direction. Like many rich men who have money to spare, and looking for a trophy wife, Nabal was able to arrange a marriage that made the beautiful Abigail to be his wife. We are told that the woman not only had a 'beautiful countenance', she also had 'good understanding.' (see 1 Samuel 25:3) In the Bible, it was rare for a woman to be described in such manner. Superficial beauty is common, but good understanding is rare. Interestingly, while Abigail, the wife, had sterling qualities, the husband was ' churlish and evil in his doings.'
Why would this rare kind of woman agree to marry a man that was rude, abusive, condescending, violent in language and attitude, uncommunicative and secretive ?
Did she marry this man of great wealth to escape poverty, and climb the social ladder ? Did she enter the marriage with a misplaced hope that she had the ability to change Nabal from his evil ways ?
Well, it took David's request from Nabal to reveal the questions that we cannot find easy answers to.
David had peacefully requested that Nabal should not forget to share a little part of his prosperity with David's men. That they never hurt or allowed anything to be stolen from Nabal's shepherds in Carmel. Continuing on a note of peace, David said: ' Wherefore let my young messengers find favour in your eyes: for we come in a good day: give, I pray you, whatsoever come to your hand unto your son David.'
Hearing David's message, Nabal was scornful and outraged: ' Who is David ?' He questioned. 'And who is the son of Jesse ? There be many servants nowadays that break away every man from his master. Shall I then take my bread and my water, and my flesh that I have killed for my shearers, and give it unto men whom I know not where they are ? '
The story would be understood better in the context of the fact that Nabal was King Saul's loyalist. That made David as an outcast to be treated with malice, disdain and harshness, as far as Nabal was concerned.
As an outlaw, hiding from Saul's wrath, David was worthless and irrelevant, undeserving of any favour from Nabal.
To Nabal, David's survival in any form or appearance was a huge aggravation.
Better for David to perish as a starving fugitive than for any line of sustainability to be extended from Nabal.
What would Nabal gain to share a little part of his wealth to sustain David and his guerilla army ?
So he did not hesitate to turn down the fugitive warlord's request.
Incensed that his request was denied, David immediately raised a full-scale war against Nabal. Meanwhile one of Nabal's servants, sensing that evil was determined against his master, having dismissed David's request with ignominy, asked Abigail to intervene. He confirmed they enjoyed David's full protection while keeping the sheep.
So Abigail quickly arranged abundant provisions to be transferred for the benefits of David and his men. Her unhesitant intervention was kept away from her husband. She refused to tell him.
On the way, she met David, still raging with indignation, fully prepared to waste Nabal.
Bowing herself to the ground, and falling at David's feet, she pleaded that regard should not be given to her husband, as his name Nabal spelled 'folly.' That it was her fault not to have seen David's messengers when they came calling.
That her intervention should be seen as a divine opportunity to stop David from shedding blood, and avenging himself with his own hand. Having the prophetic insight to recognize that David was divinely appointed to rule over Israel, she appealed that David should remember her at his enthronement, and not allow Nabal's denial to grieve or offend David.
Reciprocating her gracious speech, David received of her hand the provisions she brought.
Getting home, Abigail found Nabal holding a kingly feast in his house. He was merry and drunken. So the woman kept her silence, and told her husband nothing.
By morning, he was sober. Then Abigail told him all that transpired. According to the Bible, ' his heart died with him, and he became a stone.' Ten days later, the LORD smote Nabal that he died.

PDP Press Release on Maina's Reinstatement
Press Release
October 23, 2017.
Maina’s Reinstatement: A Classical Example Of Honour Among Thieves - PDP.
Jeffery Archer, the British Author in his Classical Novel Titled "Honour among thieves" postulated that criminals do not compromise the actions of other criminals".
2. It is in the light of this that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), wishes to state that we are not too shocked at the steps taken by the Administration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in reinstating a supposed criminal and fugitive, Abdulrasheed Maina to office instead of getting him arrested.
3. Birds of a feather flocks together.
4. All people of good conscience will not forget in a hurry that Maina, who was given an assignment by the Last Administration of the PDP to superintend the now defunct Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms, dipped his hands into the Jar and helped himself to N100 billion of what he was supposed to safeguard.
5. With good conscience at fighting corruption, the PDP Government then, mandated the Anti-corruption Agencies to perform their constitutional duty. Maina fled, only to resurface in the Country four months ago under the Buhari Administration.
6. As a Party of good conscience, we wish to condemn in strongest terms, the penchant of the Administration of President Buhari to giving safe haven to known criminals while hoodwinking Nigerians that it's fighting corruption.
7. While we are growing fatigued shouting ourselves hoarse in protest against nepotism, a clear form of corruption under this administration which has been elevated to state craft, we are appalled that the reinforcement of financial corruption by this government might soon lead to the demise of this Nation if the Celestial does not intervene.
8. We are worried that the APC Administration seem to have grown thick skins to constructive criticism; otherwise, no sane government, in spite of the open condemnation the Party has received from Nigerians over its shielding of criminals, will repeat another one as done in the case of Maina.
9. The PDP wish Nigerians can demand from the APC Government, the Civil Service Rule it relied upon in promoting a wanted criminal who had abandoned his duty post as an Assistant Director, to the position of a Director with all benefits attached.
10. We wish the APC Government will tell Nigerians where and when, and under which Court Jurisdiction Maina was cleared of his criminal allegations of stealing, warranting his restoration to duty and getting rewarded with double promotion.
11. It is reported that the Fugitive has been rewarded with payment of bogus salary arrears amounting to N22 million, which he has reportedly collected upon approval and release by the Accountant General of the Federation.
12. We dare the Government of the Day to deny this with verifiable evidences.
13. We are shocked and sad as well that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with its viable network under the Administration of the PDP has suddenly lost steam to the Point that it wasn't aware of the Entrance of a high class wanted criminal into the Country until the Media exposed it.
14. Nigerians can see that the APC Administration has taken the fire out of our security agencies like the Police, the Department of State Services (DSS) and the likes.
15. How else can one explain why it took the Media to expose the Arrival and Promotion of Maina by the Government before the Agencies became aware of his presence in the Country. We smell complicity...!
16. Nigerians will not forget in a hurry that the President Buhari Administration has severally shown it's commitments to protecting financial criminals who are willing to play ball and are known to be ardent supporters of the Ruling Party.
17. It is on record that Ahmed Gambo Saleh as Registrar of the Supreme Court, was accused of stealing N2.2bn belonging to the Supreme Court and was caught red handed.
18. Same Ahmed Gambo Saleh was initially arraigned but the Case was almost immediately withdrawn and he was made Secretary of the NJC.
19. Unexplainably, same Ahmed Gambo Saleh is now also the Secretary of the Committee monitoring corruption trials.
20. Nigerians have not forgotten in a hurry how the so called corruption fighting Government of President Buhari refused to allow the Law take its course in the graft allegations involving suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Babachir Lawal and the Director-General of the Nigeria Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ayo Oke.
21. The Government seem to have also buried without shame, the Expose by the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu on the Illegal Award of Contracts running to over $25 Billion by the Group Managing Director (GMD) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) who has told the World that he has the Support of President Buhari in carrying out the heist.
22. Though we know that the APC is like a dead horse immune to any positive prompting; we however, will not do, but ask that the right thing be done.
23. In this wise, we ask that President Buhari should for once, act like a President of a nation and not as a sectional leader whose ideas of right and wrong depends entirely on who is involved.
24. The President should understand that this is a moral and criminal issue and should be so treated.
25. We therefore, demand the immediate arrest and prosecution of Maina for his atrocities, arrest and prosecution of those who helped him return to the Country and got restored to his duty post with promotion added.
26. We also demand the Immediate sack of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Abdulrahman Danbazzau, Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami who have been fingered in the Illegal Act of restoring Maina to office against good conscience.
Long live the PDP! Long live Nigeria!!

Why The Pension Fugitive, Maina, Should Face The Law
REVEALED: AGF MALAMI ORDERED MAINA’S RECALL
President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday directed that controversial civil servant Abdulrasheed Maina be fired.
Maina, former Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms Task Team was restored and made director after being on the run for alleged N2b scam, among others.
Attorney-General of the Federation and Justice Minister Abubakar Malami directed the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) to reinstate Maina, The Nation learnt.
It was also learnt that the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita, did not make any input into Maina’s reinstatement. In fact, sources said, Mrs. Oyo-Ita advised against Maina’s recall, but she was overruled.
Instead of allowing Mrs. Oyo-Ita to determine Maina’s fate, some top officials of the Ministry of Interior were made members of a committee which recommended his reinstatement.
The officials were members of the Senior Staff Committee (SSC) of the Ministry of Interior.
Also yesterday, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) detectives stormed Maina’s Abuja home ahead of the legal battle for the interim forfeiture of the $2million house.
The agency said Maina still had a case to answer with a former Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mr. Steve Oronsaye and two others.
The details of who authorised Maina’s return were contained in a letter of reinstatement sent to the wanted officer by the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC).
Those in Maina’s camp allegedly released the letter to prove that the Federal Government followed “due process” in recalling him to duty.
The September 18 letter was also sent to the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation by the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC).
The letter, signed by Mustapha L. Sulaiman for the FCSC chairman, indicated that the AGF advised the FCSC that Maina should be reinstated.
The letter said: “Kindly refer to the Attorney-General of the Federation/ Honourable Minister of Justice letter Ref. No. HAGF/FCSC/2017/ VOL. 1/3 dated 27th April 2017 requesting Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) to give consequential effect to the judgment that voided the warrant of arrest issued against A.A. Maina which formed the basis for the query and his eventual dismissal.
“Further to the aforementioned letter, the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) at its meeting held on 14th June, 2017 deliberated on the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF’s) letter and requested the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) vide letter FC.4029/82/VOL.III/160 of 21st June 2017 to advise the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior to consider the AGF’s letter, the Officer’s case and make appropriate recommendation to the Commission.
“The OHCSF accordingly advised the Ministry of Interior to consider the matter. The Ministry of Interior at its Senior Staff Committee (SSC)’s meeting held on 22nd June, 2017 considered the disciplinary case against the Officer and the letter by the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice seeking the reinstatement of the Officer as a Director (Administration), SGL. 17 in the Federal Civil Service.
“The Ministry of Interior’s Senior Staff Committee (SSC) deliberated on the case and recommended that Mr. Maina be reinstated into the service as Deputy Director. SGL. 16. The Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) vide letter Ref. No. HCSF/LU/ COR/ FCSC/749/III/ 135 dated 14th August 2017 forwarded the recommendations of the Senior Staff Committee (SSC) of the Ministry of Interior to the FCSC for further necessary action.
“The FCSC at its meeting held on Wednesday, 16th August, 2017 considered the letter from the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice and the recommendations of the Senior Staff Committee (SSC) of the Ministry of Interior on the disciplinary case against Alhaji Abdulrasheed Abdullahi Maina, Deputy Director (Administration), Salary Grade Level 16.
“The FCSC, thereafter, approved the reinstatement of the Officer into the Service with effect from 21st February, 2013(being the date he was earlier dismissed from Service).
“The FCSC also approved for the Officer to sit for the next promotion examination to the Post of Director (Administration), SGL. 17.”
In the letter, which was sent also to Mrs Oyo-Ita, the FCSC only added a clause as follows: “You are kindly requested to deliver the attached original letter to the Officer, please.”
Giving insights into how Maina was reinstated, some top government sources said the “deal” was executed by the AGF, Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) and the officials of the Ministry of Interior.
One of the government officials said: “The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation insisted that the reinstatement of Maina was absurd and illegal. She did not play any role in the entire process which led to the recall of the dismissed officer.
“In fact, she refused to add a sentence or a line to a memo routed through her office to the so-called Senior Staff Committee (SSC) of the Ministry of Interior. It is not within the mandate of the SSC to determine a grievous disciplinary case involving Maina.”
Another official said: “When some forces were determined to bring Maina back, the Head of the Civil Service took precautionary measures and warned that the process will fail.
“Instead, what the FCSC did was to compel the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation to forward the recommendations of the Senior Staff Committee (SSC) of the Ministry of Interior to it for further necessary action.
“All the documents are intact and they will be presented to President Muhammadu Buhari. I am sure more heads will roll. All the SSC members have no business being in office again.”
As at press time, detectives from the EFCC have stormed the residence of Maina ahead of the legal proceeding for the interim forfeiture of the $2million house.
“We have deployed our detectives to Maina’s posh $2million residence at 10 Amisi Musa Street, Jabi Lake Area to effect his arrest and mark the mansion afresh as still under investigation. We had marked the residence but he had the audacity to clean up the marks.
“Although the suspect has gone underground, we will fish him out at all costs.”
The agency stressed that Maina and Oronsaye had a case to answer before the Federal High Court Abuja on alleged N2billion Pension funds allegedly mismanaged for biometric contracts.
The EFCC source added the case “Maina and three others tagged FHC/ABJ/ CR/97/ 2015 dated July 10, 2015 is still ongoing”. The others are Oronsaye , Osarenkhoe Afe and Fredrick Hamilton Global Services Limited.
“The suspects are facing a 24-count charge bordering on procurement fraud and obtaining by false pretence. Neither Maina nor Oronsaye has been discharged.
”Oronsaye and two others pleaded not guilty to the charge, Maina has been on the run.”
Responding to a question, the source said: “Steve Oronsaye was only discharged by a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory on a separate N190 million corruption charges levelled against him. The alleged fraud was committed when Oronsaye was the chairman, Presidential Committee on Financial Action Task Force set up by former President Goodluck Jonathan
“Following a no-case submission, the trial judge ruled that the prosecution failed to establish its case against him.”
